Once you have successfully installed ITAM App
Assign Permissions
Asset Admin:
- Full functionality of the ITAM application: Access to use all features for managing asset lifecycles, reporting, and configuration.
- Comprehensive access to manage all assets: The ability to read, create, update, and delete all asset records throughout their lifecycle, override sharing settings
Asset Request Sender:
- View owned assets.
- Create and submit new asset requests.
Asset Owner:
- View owned assets.
Assign Permission Sets to a Single User
Assign permission sets or remove permission set assignments for a single user from the user detail page.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users.
- Select a user.
- In the Permission Set Assignments related list, click Edit Assignments.
- To assign a permission set, select Permission Set under Available Permission Sets and click Add. To remove a permission set assignment, select it under Enabled Permission Sets and click Remove.
- Click Save.
Assign a Permission Set to Multiple Users
Assign a permission set to one or more users from any permission set page.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then click Permission Sets.
- Select the Permission Set.
- Click Manage Assignments and then Add Assignments.
- Select the checkboxes next to the names of the users you want assigned to the permission set, and click Next.
- Click Assign.
Messages confirm success or indicate if a user doesn’t have the appropriate licenses for assignment.
Map Asset Transfer and Asset Request statuses.
To enhance efficiency and ensure data consistency during the asset fulfillment process, the system provides a capability to link the statuses of Asset Requests with the statuses of related Asset Transfers.
Once configured, this feature enables the automatic updating of an Asset Request’s status based on progress updates recorded on the associated Asset Transfer record.
This minimizes manual intervention and provides a clearer view of the end-to-end request lifecycle.
