Enhancements & New Features

Asset Property Management

• Users can no longer modify the Value type field of an Asset Property after creation if at least one asset is already using this property.
• Prevents potential data inconsistencies where Asset Property Value may already exist.

Asset Transfer Enhancements

• Asset Transfer Deletion Restriction
  Feature Update: Prevents deletion of asset transfer lines when asset transfer is in specific statuses.
• Asset Transfer Creation Improvements
  When an asset transfer is created from the Asset Transfer button on the Asset Unit list, the asset units are now automatically filled.
• Validation Checks Added
  Validation checks added for asset transfer creation when initiated from the Asset Unit object via the Transfer Asset button.
• New “Admin to Admin” Transfer Direction
  A new transfer direction added, allowing Asset Admins to transfer asset units in “Available” status to other Asset Admins.

Permission & Role Updates

• Asset Admin Permission Set Updated
  New Permission Sets Added:
  • Asset Owner – Can check asset requests and view My Assets page.
  • Asset Request Sender – Can check, create asset requests, and view My Assets page.

Asset Management Improvements

• Mass Transfer of Asset Units
  Mass transfer of asset units owned by an Asset Admin to another Asset Admin.
• Asset Unit Cloning
  Ability to clone an Asset Unit with properties (up to 10 clones).
• Multi-Select Property Connections
  Ability to multi-select properties and mass-create asset property type connections to reduce clicks.
• Restricted Asset Property Type Connections
  Prevents creating a connection between the same property and asset unit multiple times, ensuring no duplicate entries.

UI/UX Enhancements

• Asset Properties UI Improved
  Improved for better usability.
• Record Pages Updated
  Record pages updated to improve UI and UX.
• New “My Assets” Page
  Asset Owners can now view their owned assets.

Asset Unit Enhancements

• Duplicate Check for ID (Serial Number)
  Prevents creation of duplicate assets of the same type. A warning message is added on the Asset Unit page for detected duplicates.
• Asset Request & Transfer Mapping
  Automatically updates Asset Request statuses when Asset Transfers change.

New Fields Added to Repair Object:

• Planned Repair Date
• Actual Repair Date
• Status
• Description

These fields provide additional tracking and organization of repair work, enabling users to monitor and manage repairs more effectively.

Label Change:

• “ID field” on Asset Unit renamed to “ID (Serial Number).”

Settings & Admin Controls

• New Settings Page
  Asset Admins can now:
  • Check app info (version, licensees).
  • Change app settings.
  • Access documentation, support, and useful tabs.
  • Switch Initial Input Values on the settings page.
  • License & App Info Check available on the settings page.
• Owner & Status Restrictions
  • Asset Owner Status Now Required
    Restrictions Applied to Archived Owners:
    • Prevent saving Asset Unit if it belongs to an Archived Owner.
    • Prevent transferring assets to an Archived Owner.
    • Restrict mass transfers involving an Archived Owner.
    • Restrict setting Archived Status if the Asset Owner still has active Asset Units (except in Disposed status).

Miscellaneous Enhancements

• Asset Owner Ability to Transfer Assets to Themselves
  Allows setting the status to “In Use.”
• Automatically Disable Input Initial Values Mode
  Automatically disables Input Initial Values Mode at midnight.

This release enhances asset management, permissions, transfer processes, and user experience, making ITAM App 1.2 more efficient and user-friendly.
